Três telas do app Patinha: início, agenda e perfil do pet

O desafio

Perfil do pet

Three Patinha app screens: home, schedule and pet profile

The challenge

Taking care of a pet without having to remember everything.

Pet owners usually track vaccines, vet visits and care in different places: a paper card, notes on the phone, WhatsApp messages. It is easy to miss a booster shot or the date of the next bath.

The challenge was to design a simple app that brings this routine together and notifies the owner at the right time.

Who it is for

Busy pet owners who want to take good care of their pet without relying on memory.

Goal

See in seconds what needs to be done today and log care in just a few taps.

Guiding question

“What does the owner need to know right now?”

This question helped decide what goes into each screen and, above all, what stays out.

The process

From real routine to prototype

  1. 01

    Understanding

Map of the care routine: what happens, how often and who remembers.

  2. 02

    Architecture

Three areas, each one answering a question the owner has.

  3. 03

    Wireframes

Flows to create a reminder and log a vaccine in a few taps.

  4. 04

    Interface and prototype

Final screens with reusable components and a clickable prototype.

Architecture

Three screens, three questions

Home

What do I need to do today?

Upcoming care in cards, from most to least urgent.

Schedule

When is the next care?

Calendar with one color per type of care and the day’s list right below.

Pet profile

How is my pet doing?

Age, weight, vaccines and weekly activity together on one screen.

Design decisions

What makes the owner’s day simpler

Today comes first

The home screen shows only upcoming care, with no history or settings in the way.

One color per type of care

Vaccines, baths and walks stand apart at a glance, always paired with an icon and a label.

Everything in one profile

Health, weight and activity together, easy to show the vet during a visit.

Made for one hand

Large buttons and a bottom menu, within thumb reach.

  • Mint green
  • Coral
  • Butter yellow

Deliverables

Screens, components and prototype

  • Care routine map
  • Information architecture
  • Wireframes
  • iOS and Android interface
  • Reusable components
  • Clickable prototype

Learnings

Next steps

The next step is testing the prototype with real pet owners, to validate that reminders arrive at the right time and that logging a vaccine is really quick.

The results would guide the next version, starting with the flows that raise the most questions.
